Developing the Rural Missouri Teacher Pipeline: An Opportunity for CTE Directors

May 28 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

As rural schools continue to face a dire shortage of educators, CTE centers could play a central role in filling the gap. CTE Directors: Please join us for this informational session to hear how the Network for Educator Effectiveness is developing a rural educator pipeline project, with an opportunity to house Grow Your Own programs inside Missouri CTE centers. NEE’s vision for the project, based on a successful model created at the University of West Alabama, would include a two-year, dual-credit option to jump-start students’ journey toward becoming rural educators. Along with NEE staff, DESE’s Roger Barnes and Theresa Struemph will join us for this session.
