The Network for Educator Effectiveness provides superior training for observation of teachers in the classroom to improve the quality and accuracy of observation data.

The Network of Educator Effectiveness calibration training process has a research-proven track record of not only improving reliability of observations of teachers in the classroom but also increasing the accuracy and quality of feedback provided to teachers.

NEE provides both initial in-depth training and an annual refresher training to reduce subjectivity in the processes and outcomes of observations of teachers in the classroom.

At these educator training sessions, evaluators practice by scoring videos of teachers. Scores are then compared and evaluators are given feedback about their scoring practices. Evaluators take a qualification assessment at the end of their training, which helps to increase inter-rater agreement in a building, in a school district, and across the country. Training for observation of teachers in the classroom is just one component of the NEE process.
