The Network for Educator Effectiveness provides a comprehensive approach to school-wide educator evaluation. The NEE system includes four measures for teacher evaluation, four measures for principal evaluation, and unique evaluation tools for multiple school specialist positions. Understandably, the full NEE system can feel overwhelming, especially when schools are first getting started. For this reason, we recommend that schools start with classroom observations only, and NEE training focuses primarily on the classroom observation process, effective feedback, and using the NEE Data Tool online system.

When school leaders are ready to expand their use of NEE beyond classroom observations, they will need tools and support to prepare to incorporate the other NEE components. In this blog, we’ll show you the resources and support available to begin using additional NEE components.

NEE Training Materials in the EdHub Library

The best place to start to learn about implementing any NEE component is the EdHub Library. The EdHub Library is integrated within the NEE Data Tool online system. Log into the NEE Data Tool, click “EdHub” on the left-side menu, and scroll down the page to the NEE Training Materials topic. The NEE Training Materials topic includes dedicated learning modules to help educators become familiar with each of the NEE components, including:

  • Introduction to NEE
  • Teacher Professional Development Plan
  • Unit of Instruction
  • Student Survey
  • Principal Professional Development Plan
  • Building Improvement Plan Process
  • Building Personnel Development Organizers
  • Analysis of Building Management
  • Teacher Survey
  • School Library Evaluation
  • Counselor Evaluation
  • Speech Language Pathologist
  • Instructional Coach Evaluation

Additional modules in the topic help educators learn more about using EdHub, the teacher summative evaluation process, the principal summative evaluation process, and managing NEE for your district. EdHub provides an excellent starting point for your learning about NEE components. If you need to dive deeper or have more questions, we have a couple of additional options for you.

Supplementary NEE Training

In addition to our annual NEE Recertification training and NEE New Evaluator training, NEE has created supplementary, optional trainings for school leaders to complete online and at their own pace. View our list of current supplementary training options.

NEE Member Services Support

Finally, NEE Member Services staff are available to support your implementation of any NEE component. NEE trainers can work closely with you to provide training tailored for your school. If you have any questions or would like to set up a customized training session for the educators in your building, please contact NEE at 844-793-4357 or nee@missouri.edu.
