Social NEE-dia: School Spotlight – November
This is a continuation of a monthly series from the Network for Educator Effectiveness. We share the accomplishments, creativity, and good news of our partner districts based on schools’ social media activity. Our hope is to spread positivity and bring even more attention to the amazing work happening in NEE schools.
Fall and Halloween Celebrations: As the month of October came to a close, many of our schools celebrated with costumes, parades, and other activities. Check out what East Carter County, Ozark, Ripley County, Sedalia, Clever, Doniphan-Trumbull, Ava, Hayti, Stockton, Minden, and Pleasant View did to enjoy the season.
Veterans Day Events: In November, districts throughout the network honored veterans with assemblies, luncheons, and parades. See how Adrian, Gasconade County R-2, Owensville, Steelville, Diamond, Fox C-6, Keytesville, Marion C. Early, Bevier C-4, Clever, West Nodaway, Northeast Randolph County, Marshall, Carrollton, Houston, Washington, and Sedalia recognized these brave individuals. NEE would like to join in by thanking all veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made.
Celebrating Parents as Teachers: Schools also celebrated National Parents as Teachers Day on November 8. PAT educators from Strafford, Kingston, Carl Junction, Aurora, Lee’s Summit, Ste. Genevieve and many other districts were recognized for their contributions in assisting their youngest students and their parents.
Giving Thanks: Finally, the Thanksgiving season is all about celebrating with one another and showing appreciation for those around us. Students from Ava, Southern Valley, South Iron, Carl Junction, Orrick, and Lesterville did just that!
That’s all for now! Watch for our next blog coming in December as we will highlight holiday festivities throughout the NEE network.
