Two New Reports Available in the NEE Data Tool
The NEE Data Tool provides a place to store your data. But more than that, NEE supports your efforts to analyze that data. NEE offers a wide range of reporting features and is continuously on the lookout for helpful new reporting options. Let’s face it: Collecting data does nothing to grow instructional effectiveness and support student learning. It’s the examination of data and the resulting changes in teaching that help schools improve instruction and learning. That means the right reports can make all the difference.
NEE recently added two new reports that should help streamline your evaluation and professional growth efforts. The reports can be accessed by clicking “Status Reports” on the left-side menu. Here’s a quick description:
- Principal Summative Status Report: Just as the Teacher Summative Status Report allows schools to track the creation and processing of their summative reports for teachers, this new report does the same thing for Principal Summative Reports. A principal’s name is added to the list when a summative report has been created. The columns display the report’s progress by denoting when it was completed and verified and whether the principal is eligible for reemployment. The current summative report can also be unlocked by a district administrator to allow for corrections to the comments and/or check box for reemployment. This report will help larger districts ensure summative reports are fully completed for their building administrators.
- Learning Organizer Summary Report: The NEE Learning Organizer is invaluable for tracking professional learning activities for your faculty. If your instructional team members create a learning organizer to document work in EdHub, book studies, face-to-face sessions, or any other professional learning endeavor, you can generate a report summarizing their efforts. Many school districts track the amount of time teachers devote to professional learning. Others record the amount of time spent on each of their focus indicators. Learning organizers can also be used to document completion of state-mandated professional development topics or for meeting grant requirements. This report allows the building or district level administrator to display a list of all the learning organizers submitted during the school year. The date parameters can be set to represent different periods, and the whole list can be downloaded as an Excel file so it can be sorted by indicator, building, or groups of teachers.
While we do our best to anticipate and provide the reports you need, never hesitate to ask for your NEE data to be reported in a specific way to support data analysis. Just give us a call; in most cases our data team can pull exactly what you need! You can reach the NEE Help Desk at 844-793-4357 or nee@missouri.edu.
