You asked for it, and NEE has delivered!

Each year, our team adds new features to the NEE Data Tool online evaluation system based on user feedback and needs. This year, we are pleased to introduce a new feature that users have been asking for in relation to the teacher professional development plan organizer: the option to copy a previous year’s organizer (any previous year) as teachers begin a new TPDP in the current school year.

The ability to copy a previous year’s organizer streamlines the creation of a new organizer as teachers build upon their professional development goals from year to year.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Log in to the NEE Data Tool.
  • On the left-hand menu, click My Organizers.
  • A new menu will open below My Organizers. Click Professional Development Plan.
  • The New Professional Development Plan Organizer creation box will appear.
  • In the Current School Year field, select the current school year (it should be the default).
  • In the Copy Previous Plan field, select a previous school year to copy a past TPDP or leave the default option to create a blank organizer.
  • Complete the remaining fields to select your building and professional status, then click Create Organizer. If you selected the option to copy a previous plan, your new organizer will populate with the text of the previous plan.
  • After a plan is copied, all text boxes can be edited for the current school year.

For assistance with the TPDP, search “teacher professional development plan” on the Help and Resources menu of the NEE Data Tool. We have multiple help documents available to assist as you work through the TPDP process this school year.

New Positions

Another update to the NEE Data Tool this school year includes the addition of four positions that educators can choose in their profiles:

  • Curriculum Director
  • Human Resources Director
  • Operations Director
  • Student Services Director

With these four additions, we now have 20 positions that educators may choose from when they create or update their profiles in the NEE Data Tool.

Peer Observation Tool

We have one more update in the works, and it’s a big one: a peer observation tool.  The new tool will allow teachers to grant access to peers for classroom observations and formative feedback that would not feed into their formal summative evaluations. More details will be available when the tool is ready for use!

If you need any additional guidance or would like to discuss these new features in more detail, please contact the NEE Help Desk at nee@missouri.edu or 844-793-4357.
